The Town

The Town

The Town holds a microscope up to British suburban life, exploring love, loss, nationhood and our fragile humanity. It is ridiculous and heartbreaking following the twists, turns and intersects in the lives of the inhabitants of a small, unknown but somehow familiar, town.

We used the work of Rudolf Laban as a starting point, allowing the actors to make startling transformations. This is a show that reveals the inner lives, ambitions and darkest secrets of the everyman or woman. Each character speaks to an unseen person, or people, inviting the audience into sometimes silly, sometimes heartbreaking high-stakes situations.
